IAP's Teen Clinic

Teenagers and their parents can have a hard time navigating adolescence.  IAP's Teen Clinic works with adolescents and their families to help them build closer relationships, while also preparing them for their future.  We work with families of all cultures and all different makeups (e.g., intact, divorced, remarried, same sex parents, grandparents as caregivers) to help teens be successful with their family, school, and future.

Problems We Treat:

  • ADHD & Learning Disabilities
  • Substance Abuse
  • Depression
  • Self Harming (Cutting)
  • Oppositional Behavior
  • Anxiety
  • Loss and Grief
  • Eating Disorders
  • PTSD/Trauma

At IAP, we use some of the most up-to-date therapies to treat problems that arise in adolescence.  We focus on building and maintaining good relationships with our clients and help them build skills to deal with their troubles.  We also have a lot of success with reluctant teenagers who may be acting out through being oppositional, abusing substances, or other issues.  We work on engaging teens in therapy and empowering the family to take control of the problem and help the teen to be successful.  For adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, loss and grief, or other issues like trauma or post traumatic stress disorder, we help them feel comfortable in the therapy and provide a place to work through their issues and deal with their problems.
